Is Donald Trump Forcing His Own Retirement?

I follow both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party because it’s often amusing to see how well they both make fools of themselves. I also follow the adventures of Donald Trump, originally because he was a success against other Republican candidates. (That too proved fruitful because it brought out the worst kinda people in the Republican Party — the infamous Bush Family.)

But now, waiting for the certain forced “retirement” of Joseph R. Biden, I’m taken aback at seeing what might be the first signs that Trump too is seeking his own forced retirement.

Two massive blunders, the first was the several positive comments about war criminal to be, Vladimir Putin, when Trump was still president. The second is sudden and in the present: the failed roll-out of Trump’s much trumpeted Social Media site, “Truth Social.”

This blunder resembles the failed roll-out of The Affordable Health Care Act when President Barrack H. Obama ordered the creation of an Obama Care sign-up page which didn’t do much more than convince people is was some kind of hoax. The website repeatedly crashed “under the load” of all those sign ups. So how does one NOT anticipate the pent up demand for affordable health care in the United States? More precisely, how does the President of the United States fail to provide for his own predicted success?!

You see they are all really laughable, quite amusing if you don’t fall for the old Party Loyalty Gag. (Two nearly equal in size groups both fall for it — 30 million for Democrats and 29 million for Republicans. )

But back to the Truth Social media roll-out. Anyone can find the “app” at the Apple App Store. But when you find the app you also find the clearly written advisory which tells you this app can only be used on Apple’s iPhone. What? First of all the number of people willing to pay up to $1000 for a smart phone (any other brands are priced around 20% to 35% of that) is relatively small and specialized. (The “I am so cool.” market segment. )

Donald Trump famously takes full credit for everything he says and does. So he “owns “ both blunders. And given the existing antipathy and roadblocks, he could never have afforded these mistakes.
